Celebrities Turned Designers

As if it isn't enough that these celebrities are everywhere we look; magazines, television, movies, t-shirts, etc. Now they are also exercising their other creativities by taking a wild ride down the aisle of design. Acting, Modeling, Singing, just isn't completely satisfying to these famous people so they take complete advantage of their fame to bring to light their other passion: Designing!!!

These Boots Are Made for Walking!!!!!

Jessica Simpson, American recording artist, actress and television personality turned fashion designer after launching a very successful hair extension and wig line with her best friend Ken Paves. It seemed like everything she committed herself to was a huge accomplishment. Everyone loves the "Girl Next Door" and just can't get enough of her. She debuted her clothing line "Jessica Simpson Collection" in 2005 and has proven to be a very profittable business for her and those involved.

Her clothing can be found all over the world and caters to the likes of all woman, the young, the business woman, the curvacious and so on. I am definately an owner of some of her clothing. I love the fact that the materials are of great quality and comfort. The just lay of your body the exact way clothing should. You can find her clothing in major chains like Macy's, Nordstroms, Marshalls and Lord & Taylor.

Now for my leading lady, Ms. Kim Kardashian! She started off as one of the beautiful daughters of famous lawyer, Robert Kardashian. He saw her deep passion for fashion when he offered her the opportunity to start a small business doing closet make overs for famous people. She took her chance and went head first.

People stopped seeing Kim as just this ultimate sex symbol but as a business woman and entrepreneur. There was nothing she couldn't do. She has been apart of a running reality show alongside her family, Co-owner of Dash alongside her sisters, designer of the Kim Kardashian Line for Bebe, Partner alongside her sisters for the Kardashian Collection at Sears and the list goes on and on. This woman is completely invincible. She overcame a traumatic and public release of a sexual encounter with an ex boyfriend, a terrible heartbreak from a long time love, a very short lived  marriage (72 days to be exact) ans still she remains motivated and on TOP OF THE WORLD! GOD I LOVE THIS GIRL!!!!!!

It's Fashion Police Time!!!!

People, people! Let's get it together. There is a such thing as wearing clothes that are too tight or too big, pants that don't cover your plumber's crack, shorts that should only be worn in the privacy of your own home and please, Ladies, lingerie should only be worn inside your bedroom for your lover!. These are fashion laws that should never ever be broken. It doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to figure these things out. Point blank! People don't want to be blinded during a regular shopping trip because you chose to wear your best friend's designer jeans that are 2 sizes too small and are now bending over to tie your shoes so your A#$ Crack is now waving HELLO!!. This is a serious fashion NO NO.

NO MORE BUTTCRACK!!!! I'M PROTESTING TO STOP THIS! NO MORE BUTTCRACK. COME ONE PEOPLE, SHOUT WITH ME!! NO MORE BUTTCRACK!!!

So, I must admit. I have seem 5 too many butt cracks in one place. The mall, the restaurant, the club. They are everywhere. Everywhere I turn my head to, I see unnecessary cracks. Your butt is meant to be covered when you are out in public. Personally, I don't care for what is in your pants so why do you feel it is okay to flash it around at me. I don't think I can stomach anymore plumber cracks. I would rather pay these people to keep this exposure to themselves. There is nothing worse than waiting at a fast food joint to get your food, hungry as ever, and you look directly in front of you and the girl waiting, PORKER, is hanging out of her pants in all ways. From the sides, the front and most disgustingly, HER Butt!!! What is the deall people? Just stop!!!!!

Why??? Why???? Why??? Why???

Nothing better than finishing up your meal with some Buttcrack! MMMMM, YUMMY!

OH yah some thong action at the movies. Really come one, you really dont feel the wind in your crack!!

NO MORE BORROWING YOUR FRIEND'S CLOTHES IF THEY DON'T FIT. STOP, JUST STOP! This is not worth the embarassment of having your stomache bulge over the front buckle of the pants, or your love handles hanging all over. This is a sight for sore eyes. Why wear things that don't fit. If you don't like your size, work at building a better body but in the mean time, dress for your size.

If this is you, than you already know what you have to do. Stop paying the drive through visits and pay the gym a visit but remember, if it dont fit, don't wear it. Be comfortable in your own skin and your own size but don't make yourself a fashion victim by squeezing into something that you know damn well you don't fit in.

THE SHORT SHORTS HAVE GOT TO BE BURNED AND LET'S BURY THE ASHES.

Shorts are called shorts for a reason but they should not be showing your As#! Do you hear that, your butt should remain underwraps. I don't want to see the stretch marks that cover your cheeks or the pimple that you weren't aware existed back there. I can make an exception for short shorts at the beach but honestly, I don't care how hot it is, you should know better than to come out in public almost naked. If you want to be noticed, please find another way to get attention.

Speechless!

Just because you are toned, doesn't mean you can come out in public like this!

Grandma this definately includes you. Put some clothes on! Geesh.
So, I must say, my eyes are definately requesting some normal scenery. All of this extra madness has me begging for some robes for these people. Point blank! IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE CAUGHT DEAD ON THE FASHION VICTIM LIST, STAY AWAY FROM EXPOSING YOUR PLUMBER'S CRACK, SHORTS THAT LOOK LIKE SMALL PANTIES AND CLOTHES THAT JUST DON'T FIT AND MAKE YOUR LOOK LIKE A BROKEN SPONGE. STOP! JUST STOP!!

Fashion Doesn't End when you enter the Office!

Many people fear expressing themselves through their clothing while at work because the question "Do I look professional enough?" always lingers in the back of their mind. Well, let me WAKE U UP!!! This is a new world we live in. So many things have changed. Woman are very much involved in the work field, a black man has become president, Gays and Lesbians are allowed to "Marry" in many states and military personal can even be Out and Proud. These are some examples on how the world has drastically changed. So, if these changes have been made, why can't we express ourselves while sitting behind a cubicle?

Office attire is one of the best ways to express who you are, have fun with clothing and also maintain your professionalism and respect. Business attire is no longer just a PLAIN BLACK pair of slacks, FRUMPY BLAZER that does nothing for your shape, TYPICAL WHITE COLLARED shirt and some over priced 1/2 inched granny penny loafers. No offense to the Grandma's out there! I mean, How can anyone STAND OUT or present professional individualism when ever corner you turn to, you see the same old blazers, pants and shirts. No colors stand out and accessories are non existant. How can you be "YOU" if you look like your neighbor ?

New Trends and Style are definately working their way down the Office Building RunWay.

Let's start with, Office Chic  because this look Is here to stay! A black knee length skirt can go from simple and basic to soft and feminine in a matter of seconds. How? Well, when paired with a soft pastel pink and black chiffon long sleeved blouse, matching 3-4 inch platform heels which not only add height to the smaller ladies, but also provide woman with confidence and just enough feminine sexyiness that isnt trashy, yet classy and just the right amount of detailed accessories, this skirt went from a 3 to a 10!!!!!!! Earrings like the heart shaped diamond studs shown below are the ultimate accessory to complete the OFFICE CHIC look.

Now lets's explore the strong minded working woman who likes to be noticed for her FIERCE AND DARING FASHION. This woman takes risks and expressed herself as much as possible through her clothing. This look includes bold PRINTS like Cheetah and Zebra Stripes and Large STATEMENT JEWELRY that draws attention. Not everyone can pull this look off because it takes confidence and appreciation for INDIVIDUALITY to due justice to this look. I can relate to this look because I too, take chances with my fashion. I don't mind being "NOTICED!"

Black and White is still the "GO TO" color for office attire no matter what generation we're in. But that doesn't mean you can't add FLARE to the very straight forward pallet. For example, Peplum tops are in this season. They are very classy and conservative but still add flirty curves to every woman by accentuating the waist line. Pair this top with a black and while symmetrical knee length pencil skirt, some gold glittery sling backs, a retro black mid sized hand clutch detailed with gold finish, gold linked thick chain, a small gold accent watch and some soft curls in your hair and you have turned the simplest outfit into an eye catcher and a show stopper. All it takes is some pop up accessories to turn something so basic into something so full of personality you basically have it coming out your Ears. Now that is "21st Century" style!  for today's office woman.

Because you work behind a cubicle surrounded by people who consider the same old same old basic clothing, professional, doesn't mean you have to become a "Minion" to your surroundings! You can remain TRUE TO YOURSELF which is the #1 rule in fashion while remaining professional and relevant. Take a Risk with your nextday outfit and you will be sure to leave your mark on that OFFICE RUNWAY!!

Which Celebrity Inspires Your Style?

We all search throughout our lives for ways to express who we really are. We strive to display individuality and personality and go above and beyond to be just that, DIFFERENT! So I ask you, What better way is there to display who you are then with your Fashion? Take Celebrities for example. There will always be a new “It” Girl, hot new brunette, or voluptuous new bombshell in Hollywood so how these leading ladies remain true to themselves and still remain relevant to their surroundings? Fashion keeps them “HOT!” Celebrity Style is admired and duplicated by normal everyday people like us because we become attached to people who we can relate to. It’s amazing when we can become chemically attached through the magic of Fashion.

Take a second and analyze your Fashion! Are you a rebel at heart and relate to Black pumps, spikey picksie haircuts, and steaming red lipstick or are you more like the girl next door who bakes cookies for her boyfriend’s parents and covers a girlie dress with a cardigan? What ever your style may be, we all have inspiration, Celebrity Inspiration! So my question to you is, What celebrity inspires your style?
Sexy, Chic, Sophisticated and Curvacious Kim Kardashian is a Style Icon for sure. She exudes Sex appeal but Class at the same time so for those of us who deeply are mesmerized by our curves and sexyness, Kim K. is the one to take some style tips from. From Pointed shouldered blazers to 5 inch booties and big bags, Kim Kardashian is the epidomy of fashion. Definately, my style Queen!
For the ladies out there who have this inner Rocker Rebel in them, Rihanna is your "IT GIRL!" She releases such intense levels of energy which almost makes you feel invincible and timeless. Just like her lyrics, Rihanna's style is erotic, excentric and impulsive. She releases desire and passion with that Firery red hair and doesn't have to try too hard to catch anyone's attention. This Barbados native, uses every bit of fashion to set high standards of rebellion and the "I DON'T GIVE A S%&$ ATTITUDE!!" If you ask me, She is that Boss B$*%! She is who she is and we should do the same!

The entire world isn't consumed of Kim K look alikes or rebellious Rihannas! There are also many that still channel, "THE GIRL NEXT DOOR!" or as we like to call her, Taylor Swift! LOL. She symbolizes individuality because even though she has grown up before our eyes in the corrupt world of Hollywood, she has still managed to maintain her identity, Sweet and Wholesome. She reminds us of the girl that we want our sons to bring home one day when they decide to settle with someone. Her style is young, girlie and feminine. So far she has managed to retain her image as the country singing sweet heart that stole the hearts of everyone with just one tune!
She is kind of like a cup cake. Sweet and tender on the inside but even sweeter in the inside. So pure and genuine, Taylor's style perfectly displays who she is.

It's completely important to stay true to who we are and what we do to express ourselves and our identities. Whether we want to cover our bared arms with a cardigan like Ms. Swift, wear 5 inch spike studded bronze pumps and red lipstick like Rihanna while we stroll the everyday streets of our neighborhood or wear a scarf, leggins, tons of bangles and a blazer like the oober sexy Ms. Kim K, we are who we are. We find ways to improve our fashion sense and celebrities are our first source. We can relate to who they are as people because we can relate to how they choose to express themselves through fashion. Be free to be you and be you by appreciating the inspirations that we have in Hollywood! Werk Girls! Werk!

Fashion in my Eyes!

Beauty of Color
Fashion In My  Eyes

Fashion is my drug, my addiction, my sinful pleasure. LOL! Some people enjoy milk chocolate as their delicacy of choice, but personally, I prefer a new cheetah print chiffon blouse rubbing against my skin. It’s almost Pleasuring. I mean, I have the chance to just wake up and express how I’m feeling that very day without even having to say a word to anyone.  It doesn’t get any more liberating than that. Fashion is Freedom, Fashion is Artistic, Fashion is Creative and Fashion is everything but SILENT! Fashion is LOUD and POWERFUL! The thought of being able to wear what I want and not have to deal with anyone taking that from me is DOWN RIGHT therapeutic.

Generations have changed the world we see today and Oh! Believe me, they are the reason why Fashion too has evolved in the way that it has. Close your eyes for a second and picture these eras in fashion and the impact that they had in the world and the freedom of individuality they promoted. The 1970's were a time of not just peace, but also bell bottom pants, Supa High Afros, funky colored shirts with wide arms, knee length go-go boots were the "IT" things. In today's generation it's all about whose pants are tighter in the relationship or boot-cut and straight leg jeans? If bell bottoms are still around, they have definatelty been wasting away on the "Clearance Rack." The Millenium paved the way for extravagence and OVER THE TOP Style. Fashion no longer wanted to be mediocore. Fashion Screamed metallics, bronzes, leopard, hot pink bows in the hair, dark under eye makeup, intricate patterning in pencil skirts. Fashion wanted to be noticed and the timing could not have been more perfect!! The millenium brought Fashion back to LIFE!!!!

The saying, "The darker the berry, the sweeter the juice," coincides well with my concept of fashion. Trends come and go, they never really stick or last more than a blink of an eye. So, let's be serious here for a second, we all have done our fair share of commiting felonies and crimes. Okay, just a second, I'm talking Fashion "oopsies or flops!" At the time, everyone does it, wears it, promotes it, what ever the scenario may be, but we some how take part in the trend even if it doesn't speak much about who we are. Soon enough, we get bored of being something we aren't and then we go back to expressing ourselves how we know best, through our personal style. What I'm trying to say is that, we all make mistakes when it comes to fashion and what trends to follow but like the berry, it takes time to develop our own level of "GREAT FASHION SENSE!" We are our own family victims! so developing a better sense of what your style is, will help you create a style portfolio worth reliving every time you open it.
